Suspected English collaborators in the murder of Nikulaj

The extradition court in London has assessed as complete the file sent by the Ministry of Justice in Albania, for the four Britons and one Albanian wanted for the murder of Ardian Nikulaj in Shengjin last year.

Top Channel journalist Muhamed Veliu followed this session online from where March 25 was set for the start of the review based on the request of the Albanian state.

Edmond Haxhia, wanted by Albanian justice on suspicion of having organized the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj, appeared in court via video link from Wandsworth prison in London where he is being held in custody.

Thomas Mithan and Steven Hunt also joined the hearing from Wandsworth Prison via video link.

They, together with their lawyers, accepted the initiation of the review of Albania's request on March 25

The review of this extradition file is expected to take seven days.

The other two wanted Harry Simson and Harriet Bridgerman were notified of this decision a few days ago.

The investigations of the Lezha prosecutor's office for this murder have reached the conclusion that the four British came to Albania and allegedly acted to keep the victim under observation.

Meanwhile, the Portuguese Ruben Saraiva with Portuguese citizenship and residence in England is suspected to be the executioner Nikulajat.

He was extradited from Morocco to Albania at the end of last year.

The Albanian state will learn the decision of the London court whether or not it will be in favor of their extradition at the end of April.

Even if the decision is in favor of the extradition of the four Britons and the Albanian Edmond Haxhia, the legal battle will move to the Court of Appeal.

The requested files will not be available to Albanian justice until the end of this year.
