Victim Erald Xhejo, perpetrator Enedio Guri
The Korça Prosecutor's Office has completed the investigations and sent teenager Enedio Guri, who on August 14 last year stabbed 15-year-old Erald Xhejo in the heart, to trial.
Through an official announcement, the Prosecution announces that it has sent the perpetrator of the murder of the minor, his father, Edison Guri, his uncle, Roland Guri, and his father's friend, Flori Çela, to trial.
These citizens are charged with the following criminal offenses: Enedio Guri is accused of the criminal offenses: 'Murder under qualifying circumstances' and 'Driving a vehicle in an irregular manner' provided for by articles 79/a/ë and 291 of the Criminal Code;
Edison Guri: for the criminal offense 'Actions that impede the discovery of the truth' provided for by Article 301 of the Criminal Code;
Roland Guri: for the criminal offenses 'Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth', 'Failure to report a crime' and 'Supporting the perpetrator in a crime' provided for by articles 300, 301 and 302 of the Criminal Code; and
Flori Çela: accused of the criminal offenses of 'Failure to report a crime' and 'Supporting the perpetrator in a crime'.
The investigation revealed that the incident had occurred outside the "Amar" bar, in the village of Pirg, where the victim had physically clashed with another minor, citizen Enedio Guri, a resident of the same village.
From the examination of the video footage provided by the bar's security cameras, it was determined that the victim and the suspected perpetrator were involved in a physical conflict. The video clearly shows that citizen Enedio Guri was holding a knife in his hand, followed the victim between the tables of the veranda and, after a fight and fall to the ground, hit him with the cutting tool, causing the fatal wound.
Likewise, from the investigations of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Korça, citizen Edison Guri, the father of the accused minor, it resulted that after learning of his son's involvement in the conflict that occurred in the village of Pirg, he did not maintain a cooperative stance with the justice authorities, but on the contrary took concrete actions that prevented the full and immediate discovery of the truth.
From the analysis of witness statements and film evidence, it results that citizen Edison Guri, in collaboration with citizen Roland Guri (his brother and the victim's uncle) and citizen Flori Çela, as well as with the perpetrator himself, has taken active actions aimed at creating a new factual situation, in order to divert attention from the criminal event that occurred previously.
At the same time, it turned out that the minor's father was also aware of the concealment and manipulation of the main material evidence of the crime, specifically the knife used by the perpetrator. The evidence shows that this knife was not seized at the scene, but was taken and later washed by his brother, citizen Roland Guri.
