Saimir Gjepal , a name known to Albanian justice as part of the Avdylaj group, has been seized today by order of the Durrës prosecutor's office.
The 50-year-old was arrested with the intention of extradition in January 2022, as he was wanted internationally because the Milan court in Italy in 2011 sentenced him to 24 years and 2 months for the criminal offenses of "Participation in a criminal organization" and "Trafficking of narcotics".

A cell phone was found in the custody of the detainees, the ownership of which, the report says, no one accepted and objected to. According to the detainees, the mobile phone could have been passed by the cleaner.
During the control, the detainees, according to the file, strongly opposed the police. The moments of tension were strong and the officers were threatened with their lives and insulted by the detainees. The confrontation and violence were documented by footage from internal security cameras.
The file states that at the moment when the police blocked the door of the bank inside the room to prevent the prohibited items from being thrown, two prisoners approached insisting to enter the toilet, clashing with the police, and even "hit the policeman with his back" the toilet door'.
