An intentional arson, which happened in the early hours of this morning, was discovered in time by the police, who arrested a 30-year-old man as the perpetrator of the incident.
Initially, the blue uniforms announced that a vehicle was burned on "Boris Plumbi" street, while after a few hours they published footage of the arrest of the arsonist, Samuel Pengu, in his apartment.

The 30-year-old resisted the police services at the time of the intervention to arrest him, so the Blues surrounded the building where his apartment was located and two officers entered through the window using a crane.

Police notification:

According to the police, the 30-year-old is a person with a previous criminal record in the field of narcotics, crimes against the person and illegal possession of weapons.

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Korça Police Station, after an intensive investigative work for the event that happened on 27.09.2023, in neighborhood no. 10, of the city of Korça, where the vehicle owned by citizen GS was burned, made it possible to identify the suspected perpetrator.


As a result, the SP citizen, 30 years old, resident of Korça, was caught and arrested in the act.

From the investigative actions and from the evidence provided, it turned out that this citizen set fire to the "Benz" type vehicle, owned by the GS citizen, and as a result the vehicle was partially burned.

The 30-year-old, at the moment when the Police forces intervened in the apartment with the aim of arresting him, resisted them.
