After 48 hours on the run, Azgan Mërnica, the killer of officer Novruz Cenalia, surrendered to the police.

The 23-year-old surrendered after negotiations between the police and the father of the author's uncle.

The serious crime allegedly happened after a conflict over who had the right to drive on the village road.

The two argued verbally and then got out of their respective vehicles. At this moment, Azgan Mërnica shot with a pistol bullet in the head the officer who was going to work to receive the service.

The author was with his mother in the car at the time of the incident. He fled and abandoned the vehicle at his uncle's house to then flee on foot to be captured on Wednesday evening.
