The Court of Rome decides: The seven immigrants of Gjadri will return to Italy

The seven immigrants who arrived a few days ago in Shengjin, to take shelter in the Gjadri camp, will return to Italy.

The immigration section of the court of Rome has referred to the European Court of Justice the case of immigrants held in Albania, suspending the measure of the validity of the detention. The decision concerns seven immigrants, Egyptians and Bangladeshis, who are already inside the Italian detention center for repatriation, in Gjadër.

After the expiration of the validity periods, the seven migrants will have to leave the center of Gjadri. The text of the provision of section XVIII of the immigration of the Court of Rome, "refers to the Court of Justice of the European Union, pursuant to Article. 267 TFBE" and "suspends the current validity decision without prejudice to the effects of the temporary ban ordered by the administration by law (Article 6 Legislative Decree 142/2015 and 14 TU Emigration and Article 4 of the Albanian Protocol)".

According to this decision, the seven immigrants will return to Italy after the detention periods have ended, i.e. 48 hours, for which the court has suspended the decision. Therefore they will leave Gjadri where they were sent by the ship Libra of the Italian Navy.

This is the second time that the group of illegal immigrants from Italy has been sent to Gjadër, and then returned to Italy.
