The court of Elbasan has today set the security measure of "prison arrest" for 80-year-old Xhevit Sinani, who is accused of being the author of the double murder last Friday in the village of Tërvol in Gramshit.

Xhevit Sinani is accused of murdering 74-year-old Zegjine Sinani (his wife) and 73-year-old Shaqir Sinani (his brother). He gave contradictory statements to the investigators and denied having killed anyone.

In front of the black toga, he stated that when he was in his brother's apartment, he saw the latter dead on the ground and then when he went to his apartment, he saw his wife dead.

"The brother had used a medicine in his ear, then he went out into the yard and fell down, he was killed. I covered my brother and ran to my wife. The woman was also killed." , he said.

According to the lawyer appointed by the court, the 80-year-old has clear mental health problems and will undergo medical examinations.
