Mayor Veliaj has reacted again on social media, regarding the investigations against him by prosecutor Ols Dado, whom he refers to as 'Ols Kafka', comparing the process against him to the book 'The Trial' by writer Franz Kafka.

FULL post

"It's probably their codes; in this court justice is administered in such a way that you are punished without guilt and possibly without even knowing it," writes Franz Kafka in his "The Trial", which has now become a mirror of my life as a character in Olsi's skull.
My critics are probably right, I should focus more on the facts than on the skull that has been keeping me in prison for two weeks on the orders of Sali Fundërrina, forcibly removing me from the affairs of Tirana and the campaign for our fourth victory.
Anyone who lived in Tirana in the '90s remembers those frustrated thugs on the curbs and sidewalks who, to show their strength, would ask passersby idiotic questions, like:
What are you looking at? - Gango would say.
I don't see you at all, I'm at work.
Oh, why don't you see me, or do you think you're strange?
Give me orders!
What are you looking at? - and approached with his chest puffed out and his brow frozen.
Here, that's exactly how I found myself on the curb of Erjon Bani where Ols Kafka was looking at me like a strong person, blocking the sidewalk:
Who is Meriman Palushi?
I don't know him!
Why don't you know him?
So, I have to give an account to Nesti Kafka for those I know and do their jobs in Tirana, but I have to give an account even though I don't know those I don't know.
- More, I don't know this man! Zero! Nothing! Nothing! Nada! Nichts!
And here's where I saw this man for the first time in the hall, - about 60 years old, tall, dry, with a mountain look - when Ols the violinist began to growl with that lack of orientation in the psychic circus, where he has brought me and a whole world.
Meriman Palushi has received permission for a two-story house in the village. Online. And he is under indictment! “He helped with activities in Tirana!” I don’t know him, while he doesn’t know me, he only knows me from the TV.
I see Mr. Meriman in the hall, while my Kafka attacks him like a hyena “tell him, tell him!”… Poor Meriman only repeated the sentence “I have never met the Mayor”. You tell the truth, but who do you tell, a brain-dead deviant on a mission for a scoundrel named Sali.
Ols Kafka knows everyone like himself - like Andon Ledhi in the movie “Tela për violinë” - a sleazy scoundrel who makes friends and moves on in life, just like when he shamelessly called my phone for a building permit under the prosecutor’s suit, like when he asked his friend to make him his comrade-in-arms at the general prosecutor’s office or like when he refused to let poor Colonel Olldashi hire him as a container notary at the port of Durrës. The same, even when he received justice with those grades that made all of Tirana laugh, even when they put him in SPAK as a kind of scoundrel, in violation of the law (but, the relevant institutions should talk about this).
And let's be clear: I am convinced that in that institution, that is, in SPAK, there are many prosecutors with integrity, who work every day with honesty and professionalism, which is why Ols violina has no connection with them.
The Municipality of Tirana issues over 2,000 permits online per year for all kinds of construction, so that's about 20 thousand in the 10 years that I have served. According to Ols Kafka, we should have had 20 thousand cases of "sponsorship" and not so few that even two villagers, with 1 or 2-story houses in Yrshek, were charged.
But, in the world of Nesti Kafka, the burden of proof is on the accused and not the accuser? A suspect with "convicted" status right from the first page by a new justice system that gave me, in my place, an angry builder, an indomitable slob and a hypocrite.
Do you know Meriman Palushi?
No, I don't.
And I'm sitting inside, filthy, because this is what happens when a villager like Merimani gives permission for a house with a garden in Yrshek, while a construction prosecutor nags him about the permission for a piece of palace in the middle of Tirana.
