Socialist MP Plarent Ndreca, invited this Wednesday to Top Story, spoke about the call of the mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj to SPAK.

He said that every official called by SPAK to inform or give explanations will go to the Special Prosecutor's Office.

Describing Veliaj as a friend, he said that the mayor has shown willingness to give explanations and that according to him, it has nothing to do with the case.

"Each official will go every time he is judged by the SPAK to inform, give an account or explain everything he did in the exercise of his duty. I have information on the matter from a professional point of view, but my information is not important, but it is up to SPAK's judgment.

Veliaj has shown willingness to give an explanation, as he said, he asked to give an explanation. I think that SPAK has acted cooler for the procedures, and why there is political pressure. Veliaj is a senior official who has less to do with this issue. In the multitude of documents, only two were signed by him" , he said.

Meanwhile, during the show there was also a debate between the socialist Plarent Ndreca and the municipal councilor of Tirana, Ilir Alimehmeti regarding the appearance of the mayor Erion Veliaj in SPAK.

Alimehmeti explained why the opposition has concentrated on the protests in front of the municipality of Tirana. According to him, Veliaj committed violations in the procedures followed for the Tirana incinerator issue.

Meanwhile, Ndreca said that Alimehmeti cannot play the role of the prosecutor and emphasized that if he believes in the institutions, then there is no need to be in the protests that Berisha's militants hold under the balcony of his apartment.

Excerpts from the debate:

Alimehmeti : We are clear that there is no incinerator there and the payment for the incinerator continues. We need to act quickly to stop the massive economic damage politically supported.

Ndreca: When the doctor deals with legal issues, the conclusion will come out like this. I didn't say it without purpose that the opposition has turned into political madness, that it goes in the morning and says SPAK and in the evening it says "SKAP". We are being investigated and you don't see any concern from any of us and we have had the right patience to wait for what the institutions say. The fact that there is no incinerator does not mean that the waste is not processed. Where does this trash go? Because Tirana today is clean. I have not seen institutional opposition that behave like thugs. They were given the vote to represent the citizens and set fire to the buildings.

Alimehmeti: You got personal, let me answer now

Ndreca: I have nothing personally, you are a political representative here

Alimehmeti: Don't put words in my mouth that I didn't say.

Ndreca: Tell me a word you didn't say

Alimehmeti : I believe in every institution

Ndreca : Then why does the prosecutor go into details. Today you have your political father on the balcony accused by SPAK and non-women from the EU. None of us want to go to jail.

Alimehmeti : You came with prejudices.

Ndreca: If you come and act as a prosecutor here, it means that you don't trust the institutions. If you believe them, then why do you go and protest under the balcony? If you trust the institutions, don't go to protest under the balcony.
