The crime that shocked the Malay family in Italy, where the head of the family stabbed an Italian citizen, his wife and daughter dozens of times, has shocked the province of Foggia.

The Italian media write today about the 16-year-old girl killed by her father with a knife, in an attempt to protect her mother.

Jessica Malaj attended the state institute of higher education Fiani-Leçisotti in Torremaggiore. According to the first data from the scene, 45-year-old Taulant Malaj entered the building, on the stairs of which he killed the Italian citizen Massimo De Santis, and then tried to kill his wife in the apartment.

Jessica appeared in front of her mother, getting stabbed by her father, which caused her instant death. Meanwhile, Tefta Malaj is in the hospital out of danger.

Taulant Malaj, who worked as a baker, was arrested by the police while he was looking for the 5-year-old boy who also wanted to kill him near the palace.

Carmine Collina, head of the institute where Jessica studied, says that the girl "was very focused, kind and gentle. She was a regular student who never had problems integrating. We will stand by her classmates in order to ease their pain over the tragic event." Today at 9.45 a minute of silence will be observed in all classes.

"We will welcome Gessica's classmates and work with the school psychologist to get through this difficult time," assures Collina.

Taulant Malaj first shared the footage of the Torremaggiore massacre on WhatsApp. The footage started circulating on social media.

The 5-year-old minor is said to be staying with his uncles, while Tefta Malaj is in a serious psychological condition in the hospital, out of danger for life.

The 45-year-old Malay worked as a baker. He used a kitchen knife to kill De Santis and his daughter. The scene of the murder is a building in via Togliatti. De Santis and Malaj were neighbors.
