The non-public kindergarten "Zubeyde Hanim", part of the "Turgut Ozal" society, has reacted after the decision of the Ministry of Education to close it, after about 24 years of exercising its activity in Albania.
Through a statement to the media, this kindergarten directly accuses the institutions, questioning the legality of this decision, as they point out that it may have happened under different pressures, without mentioning from whom.
The non-public garden "Zubeyde Hanim" informs that it has filed in the Administrative Court of First Instance in Tirana the documentation for its cancellation and that they have notified all Albanian and foreign institutions.
The closure was made on the grounds of serious violation of the license, since according to the Ministry of Education, the building where the activity was carried out was not equipped with the relevant authorization from the ministry.
The non-public garden "Zubeyde Hanim", part of the "Turgut Ozal" society, is financed by the philanthropist Fethullah Gülen, who is known as the biggest opponent of Turkish President Erdogan.
The latter has declared the foundations and institutions founded and directed by Gülen as terrorist organizations, while Albania has also become part of this battle.
For years, Turkey has been demanding the closure of Gulen's schools in Albania, even introducing the Maarif school network in the country, which is supported by Erdogan. The latter is suspected to be behind the continuous postponement of the opening of the Namazgja Mosque, as he accuses that at the head of the Albanian Muslim Community are Gülen's supporters.
