Caught transporting weapons and ammunition for criminal groups, 22-year-old ends

A 22-year-old man has been arrested by Tirana police after being caught red-handed transporting 2 Kalashnikov firearms from Burreli to Tirana, to sell them on behalf of criminal groups.

It is reported that as part of the operation, citizen AD, 22 years old, resident of Burrel, was arrested, while 2 firearms, 4 combs for them, the 22-year-old's vehicle and cell phone were seized.

Meanwhile, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution Office, for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition."

The police operation codenamed "Tunnel" is being finalized by Police Station No. 4.

A 22-year-old man was arrested after being caught red-handed transporting 2 Kalashnikov firearms from Burreli to Tirana, to sell them on behalf of criminal groups.

The 2 firearms, 4 combs for them, the vehicle and the 22-year-old's cell phone were seized.

The services of the Police Commissariat No. 4 have received information that a citizen was circulating with a firearm in a vehicle. As a result of the rapid administration of this information, the codenamed "Tunnel" operation was organized and finalized, during which the citizen was arrested:

AD, 22 years old, resident of Burrel.

During the operation, in the Murriz tunnel, the Police services stopped the vehicle driven by the 22-year-old, in which, during the search, they found 2 Kalashnikov firearms and 4 rifle magazines hidden in the trunk.

Investigations suspect that this citizen was transporting the weapons to Tirana to sell them on behalf of criminal groups. Investigations are ongoing to document this criminal activity, identify and apprehend other citizens who may have been involved.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution Office, for the criminal offense of "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".
