New details from the murder of 35-year-old Albanian Klodiana Vefa in Italy, mother of two minor children, as the search for her husband, the suspected perpetrator of the murder, continues.

The suspicions of the investigators focus precisely on her husband, from whom the woman was separating and they no longer lived together. The man is still untraceable, according to the initial information he fled in a white "Golf".

For this reason, the carabinieri began a hunt by setting up checkpoints throughout the Val d'Elsa, in the area between Poggibonsi, in the province of Siena and in the area of ​​Empoli. The police have also checked several abandoned farm houses in the crime area, so far without any success.

The 35-year-old woman with a regular residence permit was killed yesterday evening, on a suburban street of Castelfiorentino, shortly after 8:00 p.m.

The alarm was raised by some residents of the area, who heard the explosion of a gun.
A few minutes later, an ambulance arrived at the scene, but despite efforts to revive her, doctors could do nothing but confirm her death.

THE EVENT
The 35-year-old Albanian, resident for many years in Italy, worked as a waitress in a local restaurant, well integrated in the community of Castelfiorentino. The man allegedly showed up at the house where the woman lived with a 17-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter. There was an argument between the two. At that moment she had gone out into the street, perhaps to feel safer. It was on the sidewalk that she was hit by three gunshots, one of which was fatal.

The alarm was raised by some residents who heard the explosion of gunshots. A medical vehicle and an ambulance from the Certaldo Red Cross intervened on the scene, with health care personnel attempting resuscitation without success. The carabinieri of the Empoli company and the scientific investigation section of Florence also intervened. The investigation is only at the beginning, but among the first hypotheses that are examined by the investigators is that of a case of femicide.

Klodiana Vefa, according to the Italian media, was not legally separated from her husband, also Albanian, but recently there was a disagreement between the couple and it seems that the husband no longer lived in the same matrimonial home, under the same roof. According to reconstructions being investigated by the police, there would have been disputes in the past, possibly due to the husband's jealousy. However, there is no report or complaint from the woman. The murder weapon was not found: it was taken by the killer, who fled in a car. Private and public cameras may have captured the escape route.

The mayor of Castelfiorentino, Alessio Falorni, who was among the first to arrive at the scene of the tragedy, wrote afterwards on social networks: “Unfortunately, a disaster recently occurred in Castelfiorentino, Puppino area. A girl was killed, apparently after an argument. It is really early to reveal information about what happened and to discuss the hypotheses that are still being examined by the police. It is a time for silence and to gather around a family affected by a terrible event."
