Extradited from Belgium yesterday, Mario Çela remains in prison

The Special Court confirms the security measure "prison arrest" for Marjo Çela, brother of Suel Çela, extradited yesterday from Belgium.

Çela was declared internationally wanted after the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, on 22.11.2024, assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Premeditated murder", "Criminal organization", "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Active corruption in the private sector".

Çela arrived at Rinas Airport on Thursday. He was extradited from Belgium, where he had been arrested since 2024.
