Mirlinda Karçanaj has been relieved of duty. 

It is learned that the dismissal of the director of the National Agency for the Protection of Children and Youth came as a result of the resignation with immediate effect submitted by her on February 10.

Mirlinda Karçanaj is under indictment by SPAK for abuses with the tenders of the agency she ran and is under house arrest by decision of the GJKKO.

Since being under house arrest, Karçanaj had delegated her functions to her subordinate, Romina Kostani, director of the Directorate for Coordination of the Digital Agenda and e-Gov Projects with Foreign Funds.
