The serious event in Pogradec, where the 42-year-old Eglantin Proga was killed by the suspected perpetrator Denis Meçe , has shocked public opinion in the lake city and beyond.
Acquaintances of the victim, in the place where he worked, say that he was a very calm boy and that he was never seen to be in conflict.
"I have been here for so many years with Egli. We have coffee there. It was very quiet. I haven't seen him fight, get confused, or scream. Even with his father he spoke very quietly. When you left, you left it well. I found out about the incident the next day, when I came to work," said one of the ladies.
" He was found here killed. He was a very good boy. I'm so sorry, I didn't sleep last night. They say that the ambulance was delayed by 30 minutes ," said another.
" He was an excellent boy. We found out yesterday morning. We felt bad, as for our son. Woe to the father, wife and children ," said a merchant.
