The director of the Tirana Police, Tonin Vocaj, in a statement to the media, explained the dynamics of the massacre that happened on Wednesday in Tirana, where three women were killed and three other women were injured in 3 different events.

At 12:15, Dan Hutra injured 40-year-old Marjana Gurakuqi on "Teodor Keko" street in the Palati me Shigjeta overpass.

After that, the author left by car and around 12:35 he went to Kodër Kamzë to the apartment of his former cohabitant, where he killed 30-year-old Mevlute Hysa (sister of his former cohabitant) and 30-year-old Hasime Dafku (fiancée of the brother of the former cohabitant), as well as injured Elena Hysa, 35 years old, the former cohabitant of the suspected perpetrator, and Kujtime Hysa, 60 years old, her mother.

After that, Dan Hutra moved to Arbri street, Bathore, continued to "Besëlidhja" street and at around 12:48 he stopped at the Kurti family's apartment where he killed 31-year-old Etleva Kurti.

STATEMENT OF TIRANA POLICE DIRECTOR, TONIN VOCAJ:

I am here tonight, to communicate with you, regarding a serious and unusual event for the city of Tirana and all of Albania, committed by the citizen Dan Hutra, born in 1982, born in Kukës and resident in Tirana.

Today's event has the following dynamics:

At 12:15 p.m., the author Dan Hutra, on "Teodor Keko" street, near the overpass to "Pallati me shjeta", stabbed a 40-year-old citizen of MG, resident of Astir, with a knife.

Immediately after this event, the author left with the "Benz" type vehicle with license plate AA 531 UK, which he had rented, and at around 12:35 he went to "Rustem Haklaj" street, in Kodër-Kamzë, to the apartment of his ex-partner.

The citizen Dan Hutra injured with a firearm the citizens Elena Hysa, 35 years old, and Kujtime Hysa, 60 years old (his former cohabitant and her mother) and killed the citizens Mevlute Hysa 30 years old, (the sister of the former cohabitant) with a firearm his) and Hasime Dafku, 30 years old, (fiancée of the brother of the ex-cohabitant).

After this event, the author moved in the direction of "Abdyl Elmazi" street, on Arbri street, continued on "Besëlidhja" street, Bathore and at around 12:48 he stopped at the Kurti family's apartment, where he killed with a gun the fire killed citizen Etleva Kurti, 31 years old.

We emphasize that for the first event that happened on "Teodor Keko" street, the State Police received a notification at 1:40 p.m., from a call to the Operative Room of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, that is, after the occurrence of two other events.

Upon receiving the notification about the event that happened in "Kodër Kamëz", the services of the Local Directorate of the Tirana Police and other local Directorates were organized, checkpoints were set up and numerous inspections of the apartments and various premises where he could hide were carried out. the author, after the first actions at the scene, it became possible to identify him.

The Serious Crimes Structures of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Tirana Judicial District Court, have carried out all the necessary investigative actions, such as examining the scene, seizing material evidence, questioning the injured and eyewitnesses. , seizing footage, as well as applying special investigation methods. The ballistics examination of the cartridges seized in both incidents was carried out and it was found that the 12 cartridges seized in the incident in "Kodër Kamëz" and the 6 cartridges seized in Kamëz were fired from the same firearm.

The author of the events, Dan Hutra, is a person with a significant criminal record, convicted in 2003, with 2 years of imprisonment, for the criminal offense "Illegal Deprivation of Liberty", sentenced in 2009, with 16 years of imprisonment for murder with foreshadowing, in 2021 he was arrested for residential burglary by the Durrës Police Department and in 2022 he was arrested by the Durrës Police Department for attempted residential burglary.

Also, this citizen was arrested on June 16, 2022 by the structures of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, for domestic violence against his former cohabitant Elena Hysa, and was released from prison on February 16, 2023.

Thanks to the immediate and uninterrupted response of all the structures of the State Police, around 18:45, in the vicinity of Sarra in Kombinat, it was possible to capture and arrest the author Dan Hutra, together with the Kalashnikov crime weapon .
