A serious incident was recorded in Kalyvia, Greece, on Friday evening, as a 16-year-old boy killed himself by stabbing his 71-year-old father with two knives.

The teenager confessed that he returned to the house where he lived with his father around 21:00 yesterday evening, while earlier he had gone to the center of Athens with his brother.

The accused was waiting at the entrance of the main door of the house with two knives in his hands and when his father returned to the apartment, he hit him several times in the stomach, chest, neck and face.

The 71-year-old man tried to escape, going down the stairs of the apartment, until he ended up in the courtyard of the ground floor, where his dead body was found.

Immediately after the crime, the 16-year-old contacted a friend on the phone, as well as his mother and brother, informing them of the act he had committed.

The police immediately arrived at the scene and discovered that the 71-year-old had multiple wounds in the chest cavity, abdomen, left eye and left ear.

Hellenic investigators are trying to piece together the pieces of the brutal murder puzzle, and it is believed that the chronic abuse the father inflicted on the 16-year-old, his mother and his 19-year-old brother drove the minor to commit the fatal act.
