Albanian gangsters have used TikTok to call for help in identifying their enemies, reports the British newspaper The Sun, referring to a video on the social network.

Doorbell camera footage shared on the social media app shows five hooded men outside a house.

The video caption reads: "There is a £10,000 reward for anyone who knows these people. Message for any details. This is in north-west London."

The post was made by an account created by an Albanian drug gang based in London, according to The Sun. The five hooded men are said to have broken into a cannabis farm owned by Albanians.

The comments on the video were filled with people calling for revenge against them. One wrote: "If you find them, cut off their hands and feet." Another commented: "Revenge will be done for them when they return to Albania."

TikTok has since removed the “London Thieves” account, saying it provokes violent threats, promotes and incites violence and criminal activities that could harm people, animals or property, according to The Times. The social media giant said it employs tens of thousands of security professionals dedicated to keeping the app safe, including people who speak more than 70 languages, including Albanian.

"Albanian gangs control the majority of the UK cocaine market and are now thought to have successfully entered the majority of the cannabis market, replacing the Vietnamese crime groups that previously dominated. However, the movement has also created problems, with several incidents suggesting that different Albanian groups are now attacking each other's sites and fighting for control," reports The Sun.
