" They sold my sister, they humiliated my wife ", guest on Report TV Pjetër Nikolla, a 59-year-old abandoned by his family, confesses how he is at enmity with his cousin's family for the honor of the family. After serving 18 years in prison, today he lives alone, in an abandoned house.

He seeks to reconnect with his two grown children, with whom he has not had contact for many years. A murder committed in 1997 in the village of Gjegjan still haunts this man, who after serving 18 years in prison, abandoned by his family and with no hope of returning to the village, lives in bunkers and abandoned houses.

" I killed because I had nowhere to go, that's how our customs are, either kill or live in shame. The family I am at odds with is my cousin's. They always humiliated me, they sold my sister, they burned my house, they didn't let me bury my father and finally they humiliated me and my wife.

I had nothing to do. I did not commit the murder out of infidelity, but in the middle of the day, knowingly. I didn't run away. I waited for the police until they came and arrested me. After serving 18 years in prison, I got out, but I realized that my wife and family had abandoned me.

I can't go back to the village. It doesn't make sense to go to the bloody mouth, it's a provocation ", says 55-year-old Pjetër Marku, who has been wandering the streets for 10 years, sheltering in bunkers and abandoned houses.

He shows that killing is not a solution, but under the mentality of the mountaineer he justifies killing his cousin as the only option he had left.

" I appeal to all Albanians that killing is not a solution, but in my case, I did not have a solution. I am an only boy and in the middle of being trampled I always thought of either killing myself or killing those who were trampling me. I chose the second one," he says.
