Tried to eliminate the owner of "Havana", the Court of Appeal confirms

Astrit Sinanaj , cousin of contract killer Julian Sinanaj, will stay 25 years in prison.

This is what the Court of Appeal decided, which this Monday upheld the decision given some time ago by the First Instance, with 25 years in prison.

Sinanaj is accused of two specific cases in Elbasan, where he tried to kill businessman Fuad Verzivolli, the owner of " Club Havana " in this city, with a tritol.

In cooperation with the other defendants, Thanas Thoma and Gentian Kllogjri from Elbasani, he tried to kill businessman Fuad Verzivolli with explosives on May 6, 2017 by placing a quantity of tritol under his car and on May 22, 2017, by placed another amount of tritol in the exterior of his business, "Club Havana" in Elbasan.

The first event happened in the center of Elbasan, when near the " Skampa " theater, under a " Volkswagen " type vehicle, a quantity of tritol C4 was found, attached with natriban paper and connected to a telephone, fuses and detonators.

Astrit Sinanaj, arrested in Vlora on June 6, 2019, is the cousin of contract killer Julian Sinanaj.
