Shooting in Saranda, Police solve the incident and handcuff 4 teenagers, two are

Police have prevented the escalation of a conflict between several young people in the city of Saranda, while two people have been declared wanted after shooting in the air.

According to the official Police announcement, the incident occurred on March 12, 2026 at around 10:30 PM on “Panorama” Street, in neighborhood no. 1 of the city. From the investigative actions, it is suspected that citizen JL, 19 years old, together with a minor, after previous conflicts and for weak motives with some young people, fired firearms in the air with the aim of threatening them.

Thanks to the quick response and investigative actions of specialists from the Crime Investigation Section at the Saranda Police Station, on the evening of March 13, it was possible to capture and detain four people: AZ, GA, AB and DZ, all 18 years old and residents of Saranda. They are suspected of having been aware of the incident and not having reported the crime.

During the investigation of the scene, police services seized 5 shell casings as material evidence, several mobile phones, and a vehicle.

Meanwhile, the police have announced a search for the suspected perpetrator JL and the minor citizen, while work continues to capture them and fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Saranda Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offenses of "Threat", "Unlicensed Production and Possession of Weapons and Ammunition", "Disturbance of Public Peace" and "Failure to Report a Crime".
