Young people in Berat and Korça want to become soldiers. Lieutenant Klajdi Bilali says that these are two of the regions that have the highest number of young people recruited for the Armed Forces.
"From year to year we see a growing interest of young people to become part of the Armed Forces. The two counties that have the highest interest in becoming part of the FA are Berati and Korça ," Lieutenant Klajdi Bilali told TV Klan.
Every year, quotas are opened for the recruitment of young people in the army, and almost 50% of them are exhausted during three different phases, meeting the defined criteria.
"At this stage, we have 444 quotas for FA admissions. For every young person who will become part of the FA from the age of 18-30, to have completed a 9-year education, to be physically fit and not to have problems with the law".
According to leaders in the Albanian army, the growing interest of young people in the Armed Forces, mostly men, is related to several reasons.
"The first soldier receives 60,000 Lek, 16,000 Lek food treatment, the difficulty of the work where he serves is a bonus, there is the zero-interest loan that was approved years ago, as well as the various missions".
Likewise, every young man who completes 15 years of service in the army receives the status of a soldier.
"The status of a soldier benefits every soldier who has completed 15 years of career in the FA and at the moment he is separated from the FA for various reasons, he benefits from a supplementary pension until retirement."
Recruitment needs remain high in the military.
Every year approximately 1200 quotas are opened for young people who want to join the Armed Forces.
