Today she is 52 years old and has spent more than half of her life with children of the institute who cannot speak or hear. For the sake of her profession, teacher Evis Gazheli has chosen to lead a semi-silent life.

She says that the emotions these children give her are special.

"The more difficult it is, the more enjoyable it is. When you see a child who has a lack of communication and you manage to help him every day, it also gives you satisfaction. This is not only for me but for all my friends who have worked for years for these children. The children put a mark on each person. My sign is related to my hair, to my hairstyle," said Gazheli.

At first, she started as an assistant teacher in ordinary schools, but then, despite being offered much better opportunities, she never gave up caring for and teaching children with hearing and speech disabilities.

"They really don't talk but they have their own way of communicating with us. Love forgives every day, they forgive you when they enter this door, the way to say good morning all love", said Gazheli.

Evisi teaches in the primary cycle for students of the Institute and teaches all special subjects from sign language to linguistics.

"Except for this regular school program, all subjects are taught in our school. We also develop special subjects such as pronunciation, oral reading and sign language", said Gazheli.

The teacher has a call for parents of children who do not hear that they should leave behind the stigmas because in a special school, their children will not feel differentiated and will receive all the professional help they need to get out in life.

"This school has specific subjects that help these children integrate with life. As I said, it is the special subjects that take place in our school that help a lot in communication. As you saw in children starting to talk. The program is the same as normal schools," the teacher told Report TV.

The institute for deaf children has 79 students in the primary cycle and 19 have started high school for the first time this year, after the opening of secondary education for this category as well.
