A London court specializing in extraditions considered the Albanian state's request for an Albanian and two Englishmen arrested on Friday and Saturday for the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj.
Edmond Haxhia, Stephen Hunt and Thomas Mithan appeared before the court.
A spokesperson of this court, contacted by Tch journalist Muhamed Veliu, gave the details of the first extradition hearing.
He said: "London District Court Neeta Minhas upheld Albania's request and imposed a prison sentence as a security measure. As it decided that the next session for this extradition request will be held on May 5. Judge Neeta Minhas rejected the bail application from Thomas Mithan's defense," the court's spokesperson told Top Channel.
According to the English extradition law, the requesting state in this case, Albania, has 45 days within which to send the file with evidence and guarantees for a fair trial for the persons it seeks to extradite.
Harriet Bridgeman, the fourth arrested on Saturday morning, will appear before this court on Monday.
Tch learns that the operation to capture them was coordinated by the State Police in cooperation with the English Metropolitan Police and the agency against organized crime, known as the English FBI, NCA.
