The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has ordered SPAK to conduct a financial investigation against the former Minister of Health,  Ilir Beqaj .

Referring to the decision on the sterilization file, the court requests a financial investigation against Beqaj to understand why he influenced and favored the company " Sani Service " to win the sterilization concession.

"All premeditated criminal activity planned in detail by the persons under investigation was done simply because of the close social relations of the person under investigation Ilir Rapaj with the person under investigation Klodian Rjepaj, as well as because of the personal acquaintances of this citizen and the Italian citizens Umbro Staccini with the former Minister of Health Mr. llir Beqaj or is it a consequence of the irregular benefit that derives from the corruption of the officials who participated in this procedure. For this, a financial investigation is needed", the decision of the Special Court states. 

In the decision signed by judge Erion Bani, SPAK is required to investigate former minister Beqaj and the members of the Bid Evaluation commission, Gentian Kiri , Spiro Kuro , Leonard Grashi and Hektor Balluku for abuse of office.

Meanwhile, sources from the Special Prosecutor's Office inform that not only the former health minister Beqja but also the finance minister Shkëlqim Cani are being investigated in another proceeding.
