The Constitutional Court ruled today in favor of Erion Veliaj, accepting his motion seeking the annulment of the decision dismissing him from the position of mayor of Tirana.

Veliaj had claimed that his ban on going to work was made against his will. As a result of the Constitutional Court's decision, Veliaj will continue to be mayor of Tirana, while the decision of the Municipal Council, the government's Council of Ministers and the presidential decree are now repealed.

But how did the members of the Constitutional Court vote?

Voxnews.al learns that Sandër Beci, Ilir Toska, Fiona Papajorgji, Marsida Xhaferllari and Mariana Semini have expressed their support for Veliaj's appeal.

While the President of the Constitutional Court Holta Zaçaj, Sonila Bejtja and Gent Ibrahimi spoke against it.
