The robbery of a large amount of money and jewelry in the apartment of Alda Klos, the former chief of staff of Arben Ahmetaj, at the time when he headed the Ministry of Finance, has revealed an interesting network of connections.
It turns out that the Financial Supervision Authority, where Ervin Mete is the General Executive Director, has turned into a shelter for former subordinates and administration officials connected to Ahmetaj.
Ervin Mete was earlier the Deputy Minister of Finance at the time when the institution was headed by Arben Ahmetaj.
After his departure from there and the appointment of the AMF, he, in addition to Alda Klos, the former chief of staff of Ahmetaj, currently the director of the AMF, also 'sheltered' the deputy director Mimoza Kaçi there. The latter's name remained a hostage for a long time and was approved by the Assembly only after the appointment of Ahmetaj as Deputy Prime Minister.
An interesting part of this story is a distant issue that dates back to 2004, long before Ervin Mete was an important part of the administration.
At that time, Bilbil Mete, Ervin Mete's father, investigated the 'Hermes' file where Arben Ahmetaj was suspected of strong abuses with Albtelekom's impulsive scheme.
In the end, Bilbil Mete closed the case, while today Ahmetaj's 'trustees' are sheltered in the institution where his son, Ervin Mete, is the General Director./Hashtag.al
