The next hearing for citizen Fredi Beleri, accused of corruption in the local elections of May 14 last year, has been postponed until March 5.

In today's session, Beler's defense lawyers had the opportunity to present their claims, stating that according to them, the prosecution has no evidence.

At the end of the session, they claimed that the trial is politically rigged in order to take over the Municipality of Himara.

"We proved that the prosecution did not give us evidence, they gave us the tablets on the 1st. The police associate, he was paid. He was not in Vlora for four days from the 8th to the 12th. This means that after the arrest of Beler, they started to fix the evidence", said one of Beler's defense lawyers.
