Musah Hamiti , the 66-year-old businessman who was declared missing a month ago, was found dead in the basement of an elevator in a Kosovo building.

The news has been confirmed by the Kosovo Police, who informed that by the decision of the prosecutor, the body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy, while the investigations into his death have started.

"I inform you that on 26.02.2024 at around 22:37, the Kosovo police, the police station in Gjilan, received information that a person suspected of being dead Regarding the case, the state prosecutor and all relevant units were informed, where they urgently went to the scene. With the decision of the state prosecutor, the lifeless body was sent to the IML for an autopsy", said the spokesman, Ismet Hashani.

In the file of the State Prosecutor, it is stated that on January 9, in the afternoon, the two suspects, Marinela Marković and Silvana Dulellari, originally from Albania, together with other persons, still unidentified, with the purpose of illegal financial gain, kidnapped the missing Musah Hamiti, residing in the state of Switzerland.

"... since the defendants understand that the missing Musah has with him the amount of money in the amount of 86,250 Swiss Francs and 391 €, who returned from Hajvalia on the same day, after being released from the Center of Detention in Hajvali, where he had been serving a sentence for a duration of 25 days, with his return to Gjilan, by taxi of the "Golden Taxi" Company on 09.01.2024, he meets with the aforementioned defendants, and after the meeting with the same he loses every trace of him, in which case from this day his fate is unknown."

Markovic and Silvana Dulellari are suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "Kidnapping" in collaboration and co-operation.
