A repentant justice, a file, two prosecutors, two different attitudes of Albanian justice. While the prosecutor Maksim Sota was arrested on account of the investigation of the "Spirti" file, the prosecutor Eneid Nakuçi was promoted from the serious crimes of SPAK.
" Inside Story " brought details on Wednesday about how the confession of the repentant justice, Mariglen Shusha, was treated with double standards in Albania. One standard was applied to the former prosecutor of Vlora, Maksim Sota, who is mentioned by him as Robert Myftari's contact in the justice system, while the other standard was applied to Eneid Nakuçin.
Doubts that the investigations in Albania based on Shusha's confession have been diverted are increased by the fact that in the Albanian investigative file the name of Prosecutor Eneid Nakuçi is not mentioned at all, despite the fact that in the testimony given to the Italians, Mariglen Shusha mentions her as a contact who should have intervened for enabled the transfer of the file from the Prosecution of Serious Crimes to that of Vlora.
In order to carry out this transfer, according to Shuha's testimony, citizen Ilirjan Duçkollari, known as Lani for short, was contacted. The latter had contact at the prosecutor's office in Vlora, with prosecutor Maksim Sota, and apparently, in Vlora, it was easier for them to close the file through Sota.
The Serious Crimes file was in the hands of prosecutor Eneid Nakuçi. Based on the reference of the Vlora police, the Prosecutor of Serious Crimes registered criminal proceedings number 313 on November 11, 2015. On January 29, 2016, the name of Robert Myftari was registered as a suspect.
On November 25, 2016, the investigation against Robert Myftari was suspended, even though documents linking him to him were found in the drug raft. Meanwhile, on July 10, 2017, the file was suspended after it was not possible to identify the traffickers. So Mariglen Shusha's testimony fully matches what actually happened. The file was suspended and the investigations against Myftar were stopped.
For all this, according to Shusha's confession, Ilirjan Duçkollari spent 200 thousand euros, which in the confession is implied to be amounts paid to corrupt the people of justice. Is prosecutor Eneid Nakuçi among them? The vetting process did not give the answer to this either, where the current prosecutor of SPAK was not only not opened to this file, but passed the re-evaluation in all three criteria; that of wealth, integrity and professionalism./ Tch
