The Regional Administration of Protected Areas, Korçë immediately went to the scene yesterday, alerted by a resident in the village of Çezme in the area of ​​Mokra, in Pogradec, about a brown bear (Ursus arctos) stuck in a trap.

AdZM Korçë took all the necessary measures to help him. Professionals specialized in cases of this nature were also notified.

The process of rescuing and monitoring the bear continued today, where AdZM Korçë together with the state police, specialists from PPNEA and Callisto Greece (Greek environmental organization) made it possible to release the bear, as well as placing a GPS on its body for to monitor the movements in the following days as well.
