A tragic accident was recorded today on the Tirana-Durres axis with one dead and 12 injured. A bus with passengers was traveling from Berat to the capital, when the driver lost control and the vehicle overturned in the middle of the road.

According to the investigation team, after the driver lost control of the vehicle, the vehicle collided with the curb, when one of the metal curbs passed through the middle of the bus.

One of the reasons for the accident is the driver's loss of control and it is suspected that he may have suffered a heart attack while driving.

However, the police do not rule out the possibility that the bus had technical problems.

Preliminary information reported two victims, but only the driver remained the victim of the accident. Meanwhile, 12 injured are being treated at the Trauma Hospital. 7 of the passengers are in serious condition, including an intubated child.
