The testimony of the Albanian Izbi Çaushi, who is behind bars for the murder of a Greek citizen otherwise known as 'the American', is revealed.
The incident in question happened last Friday in Kalamata. He told investigators that he did not mean to kill the 47-year-old Greek-American and that they had met to discuss an argument that had taken place last year. Immediately after the crime, the Albanian escaped and was then arrested in a rented apartment that was taken by a Bulgarian citizen.
Çaushi was arrested together with the 34-year-old Bulgarian, while the police found a quantity of hashish in the apartment. The Albanian took over the crime, showing the 22-year-old Albanian, but with a Greek passport.
"He just wanted to buy 2 grams of cocaine from the victim. I went to explain about a fight we had together ", the Albanian is said to have said in his testimony. Among other things, the Albanian said that he had thrown the crime weapon, the pistol, into the sea.
