An injured person went on foot for treatment at the hospital, but was arrested by the Elbasan police.

It is suspected that his wound was caused by a firearm and after he did not reveal the circumstances of the event, he was put in handcuffs.

His two friends were also arrested for not reporting the crime.

It is about Fatmir Murati, 35 years old, Shkëlzen Hoxha, 33 years old, Mariglen Gostima, 30 years old, all three residents of the neighborhood "5 Maji", Elbasan.

"On 30.12.2022, around 21:30, citizen Fatmir Murati went to the regional hospital of Elbasan for treatment with a leg wound, suspected to have been caused by a firearm. After receiving treatment, this citizen left the hospital.

During the questioning by the investigative group, the citizen Fatmir Murati stated that he was injured with an iron, after falling from the motorcycle, in the place called "Harqet".

The Police Services also accompanied the citizens Shkëlzen Hoxha and Mariglen Gostima, friends of the citizen Fatmir Murati, who during the interrogation did not reveal the true circumstances of the incident.

The investigative team did not find any illegal items during the search at the scene claimed by the 35-year-old.

Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Elbasan Judicial District Court, the work continues to clarify the circumstances of the event, identify and capture the persons involved in this event.

The materials were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office at the Elbasan Court of First Instance, for the criminal offenses of 'Disproving the crime' and 'Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth'", the police announced.
