The testimony of Jamarbër Malltez in today's hearing at the GJKKO regarding the security measures against him regarding the accusations regarding the privatization of the former Partizani sports complex is clarified.
Malltezi has claimed that he did not commit a violation, and that not all of the property was a sports field. According to him, a part of the property was illegally occupied by another person. He said that Edi Rama, in the capacity of the Mayor at that time, signed the inventory of the property.
Malltezi is accused of passive corruption and money laundering, while GJKKO decided today to leave in force the "prison arrest" measure.
"I didn't know that I was the enemy. All the procedures for the privatization of the building started in 2000. The inventory was signed by the current Prime Minister Edi Rama, who at that time was the mayor. The whole property was not a sports area, as the prosecution claims, but it was partly sports and partly residential. The sports area was occupied by an illegal occupier who claimed to have a registered joint stock company KF Partizani.
The Ministry of Defense itself at the time of Pandeli Majko has opened a judicial process in the court of Tirana. At that time, the court revoked KF Partizan's registration as a joint stock company. I am a doctor professor and I live in Albania even though I had the opportunity to leave. The investigation since 2020 was being held intentionally and I was aware of this proceeding", Malltezi stated, among other things.
