The Special Court has confirmed the measure of "prison arrest" against the son-in-law of Sali Berisha, Jamarbër Malltezi, accused of corruption and money laundering in the affair of the privatization of the former "Partizani" complex.

In today's court session, it was decided that Malltezi will remain behind bars on charges of corruption and money laundering.

For the same accusations, GJKKO has imposed the measure "obligation to appear" and prohibition of movement abroad for businessman Fatmir Bektashi, taking into account his advanced age and health problems.

Malltez's lawyers requested the revocation of the security measure, claiming that their client had not committed any criminal offense and that the benefits were not obtained illegally.

The session was adjourned twice today, because the lawyers of the defense side asked to see the investigation file.

So, tomorrow at 14:00 at GJKKO, the development of the hearing for the questioning of the former prime minister Sali Berisha, who is accused of abusing his office by favoring his son-in-law in the privatization of the former Partizani sports complex, has been scheduled.

Against Berisha, the court gave the measure "compulsion to appear" and prohibition of movement abroad.
