Just after landing in Rinas, a 49-year-old Filipino woman loses her life

A 49-year-old woman of Filipino origin has died in hospital after feeling unwell immediately after arriving at "Mother Teresa" Airport in Rinas.

According to the Police, the 49-year-old woman had arrived in Albania on September 4 and, after feeling unwell at the airport, had received first aid from medical staff.

"Tirana/ On 05.09.2026, a 49-year-old Filipino citizen passed away in hospital. She had arrived at "Mother Teresa" Rinas Airport on 04.09.2026, where she was not feeling well.

"After receiving first aid from the medical staff at the Airport, he was transported by ambulance to the QSUT for more specialized assistance. Work is underway to clarify and fully document the case," the police statement said.
