A quantity of explosives was placed outside the premises of the bar 'The Boss' located on the seaside promenade in Vlora. The explosion occurred at around 05:30 and so far only material damage has been reported.

The explosion was powerful and it is suspected that the explosive used was TNT.

The bar, which operated as a bar, restaurant and pizzeria, on Lungomare had not been operating for a long time but had only reopened a few days ago. 

The furniture inside the bar and the windows were damaged.

Police have arrived at the scene and are questioning the owner of the bar.
