"Ru*pie, bastard, bang his head against the wall", the Albanian

An Albanian has ended up behind bars after cursing and threatening his wife.

"You have to get out of this house, I can't stand you anymore, you can't get out of here alive, I'll bang your head against the wall."

He, born in Albania 38 years ago and living in Belluno, had turned his wife's life into a nightmare.

Eventually, after months of harassment, often carried out in the throes of alcohol and in the presence of their younger daughters.

The 33-year-old, also Albanian, had found the courage to rebel and went to an anti-violence center denouncing her husband.

According to the Italian media ( Read HERE ), yesterday in court, the man, who has been subject to a ban on access to the places frequented by his wife, had to answer to the law for the crime of domestic abuse. The period under review runs from January 2020 to January 2021.

When he drank, the 38-year-old lost control, insulting his wife for her origin in the north of Albania, but he did not spare her epithets such as "slut" and "bastard".

At first, the woman had tried to dissuade the man from drinking alcohol, scolding and warning him about such behavior. But in response he threatened her, grabbed her by the wrists and pulled her away. This is what happened on October 9, 2020 at around 9 o'clock, when the woman, afraid of the possible reactions of her husband in a drunken state, was forced to ask for help by calling 113. The arrival of the agents calmed the waters, but only for a few hours and what the hell in the afternoon he repeated to himself: this time the man threw a bottle of water at his wife, punched her in the forehead, shouting: Get out, get out, because I will cut you to pieces. A new call to 113 at 19.40 of the same day intervened in the couple's apartment to calm the man down.

That same evening, the terrified woman fled to another place. But the nightmare was not over. Her husband continued to threaten her in the following days with threatening phone calls and text messages: Woe to you if you don't come back; You will no longer be alive; I will hurt you even in prison, prison is better than being here alone. On October 26, he made a video call to her in which he threatened to commit suicide.

During Christmas it seemed that the 'storm' had disappeared, but it was only a 'truce'. In January 2021, the 38-year-old moved near the shelter where the woman lived with her little girls. He had gone and rang the doorbell at their house threatening that if they did not open the door he would break the window. The woman knew that if she came out he would hurt her, so she called the police again to protect herself and her daughters.

At the end of the court process, judge Angela Feletto sentenced the abusive husband to 2 years in prison and 7 thousand euros in compensation to his wife.
