A 25-year-old Albanian man has been arrested by the Greek police, as he is suspected of being involved in attempted rape and physical violence against a 19-year-old local woman, who is being treated in a hospital in Thessaloniki.

Specifically, according to the police announcement, on Friday afternoon, the 19-year-old girl reported to the police officers of the Toumba-Triandria security department, that in the early hours of the morning in the Toumba area, the 25-year-old approached her and violently physical tried to rape her and take her backpack.

According to the local media , the author was arrested by the Greek police officers, after it was established that he had previously committed acts that violated the sexual dignity of a 22-year-old citizen, in a building in the center of Thessaloniki.

Also, during his arrest, it was established that he had provided false identification data. Meanwhile, the procedural materials for the 25-year-old have been handed over to the prosecution for further procedural actions.
