Ecuadorian authorities have discovered a structure which allegedly issued irregular visas to foreign nationals.

Local media  reports that five raids were carried out in the provinces of El Oro and Guayas, where it was discovered that the alleged structure was illegally issuing visas to foreign nationals, including Albanian nationals.

The Public Prosecutor's Office has not provided details on whether it has arrested suspects as part of the investigations.

Local media reports that Albanians have had a common strategy in the countries where they arrive, including Ecuador: to show themselves as successful entrepreneurs and investors.

"They are carefully connected with companies, mainly agricultural, to camouflage the shipments to Albania, a country from which the drug is distributed to other European countries", reports the media.
