The heavy rainfall that has swept the country in the last 24 hours has caused road flooding and extensive material damage in Durrës, putting dozens of families and urban infrastructure in difficulty.
According to preliminary data, about 100 homes have been flooded or surrounded by water.
The Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, announced that 23 forces, 8 Civil Emergency vehicles and 7 motor pumps have been deployed on the ground, which are working to remove the water and manage the situation.

As a result of the floods, 60 residents have been evacuated so far, taking shelter in the Army rest house, while authorities continue to monitor the most problematic areas.
The Durrës Shipyard area, a much-debated public project that cost over 800 million lek, has also been flooded.
Footage from the ground shows that the investment has become another example of infrastructure problems, flooding after intense rainfall.
