Rama: Ukraine war to affect wheat in market

Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that the war between Russia and Ukraine will affect the price of wheat and flour in Albania, but assures that this product will not be lacking.

"You mean that glory to God (war) does not threaten Albania from a military point of view, but prices that all over the world rose as a result of the opposite wave with pandemics now continue to rise because in fact some of the essential goods related to russia's market and Ukraine, wheat for example, are no longer available as they were. Not that he will be missed, that I have noticed that in some places there has been a kind of panic, that "come on, we're going to get food that war is coming", Rama said.

The Prime Minister spoke during the holding of the National Citizens' Council in The Oblast. Here he also ceded the Open Balkans, implying that even after the war in Ukraine and Serbia's stance against sanctions on Russia, he would not back down from this initiative.

Rama said that from the Open Balkans those who benefit are citizens and businesses, who save time and money from bureaucracies and multiple procedures for controlling exports and imports with Serbia and North Macedonia, and in this initiative, according to him, there is nothing political.
