Kilometer-long queues have formed at the Qafë Bota customs point.

Following the arrest of 14 Greek customs officers on charges of smuggling goods, hundreds of citizens traveling from Greece to Albania have faced long waits of up to 3 hours, while vehicle queues stretch for several kilometers.

The Greek side currently operates with only two counters and has only three customs officers on duty, which has significantly reduced the pace of processing passengers and vehicles.

Meanwhile, the Albanian side has made three functional counters available, but the high flow and slowness from the Greek side are causing major delays.
