Fiks Fare denounced on Wednesday evening one of the most subtle social phenomena, that of "men with many wives".

Although a legal initiative has recently been undertaken, where men/women who cohabit with multiple partners are criminally punished, there are thousands of such cohabitations throughout Albania.

A 50-year-old woman in Dibër, who has been sharing the same man with another partner for 22 years, complained to the Fiks editorial office. She says that his family members bully and insult her, opening fake profiles on social networks. In the meantime, he contacted the police of Peshkopia several times, but they did not solve this problem. After Fiksi's interest, the police officer reports to the citizen about all the fake profiles they have opened.

The citizen says that she is divorced and has 2 children from her first marriage.

"I have lived with this person for 22 years. Initially, I did not know that he was married. Then I found out and both families have known. We have never had problems and we have accepted our fate," says the citizen. She explains that after many years of living together, they gave birth to a daughter, who is 10 years old today. "We were in a different neighborhood and now we have houses next to each other. We have had no problems or conflicts with his wife. A few months ago, in 2023, the first problems began. They have opened several fake Instagram profiles with my photo and name. They label me as a woman and insult me", says the 50-year-old.

Fiksi asked him to whom he suspects he may have opened these fake profiles, where he is bullied and insulted.

"I suspect that my roommate's son, who is turning 22, may have done it to me. Apart from me, he also writes to my eldest, married daughter. Now the children worry me," she says, while showing that she went to the Dibra Police several times, but did not get a solution. "I went to Dibra Police, initially through a known person. They told me they will verify them and they did not investigate anything. I went in November 2023 and nothing happened. Those Instagram pages are sometimes active. Sometimes they close temporarily, but they open again and the police do not find the perpetrators. I went to the police 1 week ago, where I showed all the details of opening these pages. There are also conversations where they insult me ​​and label me as a loser. But again, they have not taken any measures to identify the people who opened them, nor to close them", continues the whistleblower.

After the complaint, she goes to the Dibra Police, where she meets the officer who deals with cyber attacks. It shows everything again, even conversations and new pages that have been opened. The officer tells him that "now you have elements and they must be verified". He tells her that you will wait for a while and then they will scan the phone. Fiks Fare reporters contact officer Ramiz Alia, asking him why they didn't investigate him earlier. He replies that "the lady came today and is at the police premises".

Fiction asks why he left for so long, bringing about the degradation of the situation and the difficult emotional and psychological state of the whistleblower. "Today there are facts, other times he came, but he did not file a report", he claims, while the citizen claims that the police did not keep the report. Only after Fiksi's interest did the Dibra Police receive the report and begin investigations into this case.

"I want to find the author. I can also forgive him because of the cohabitant. I only ask to live peacefully, together with my daughter whom I am raising myself. I work in the state and everyone knows me. What's done is done, it's been 22 years and no one can undo it. But, don't insult and bully me, because it is very serious", concludes the whistleblower.
