Problems with wealth, the judge of Vlora is finally out of the justice system

Albert Spiro

The judge of Vlora, Albert Spiro, has finally left the justice system by decision of the Special Appeal Board.

Spiro was sacked in 2021 by the Independent Qualification Commission due to wealth problems.

Albert Spiro started his career in the justice system in 2000 as a judge in the Tepelena Court. Since 2006, Spiro has been working in the District Court of Vlora.

Spiro was publicly accused by the Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi, for the release from the cell of Edison Begaj, a person with previous criminal records. The court of Vlora responded at that time that the measure of "house arrest" had been requested by the prosecutor.
