A serious incident was recorded in Kukës. A 50-year-old man was found dead in his apartment, while his relatives had lost contact with him for several days.

After the denunciation of one of his relatives, the Police and the firefighters forcefully opened the door of the apartment, finding the 50-year-old man with the initials AK with a cut vein. He is suspected of having killed himself, as a knife was also found near him.

Police Notification:

On 14.11.2022, around 5:00 p.m., at the Kukës Police Station, citizen YK reported that he had lost contact with his relative, citizen AK, for several days.


Immediately, the police and fire services, together with the citizen YK, went to the apartment of the citizen AK. The fire services forced open the door, which was locked from the inside, and found the citizen AK, 50 years old, dead in the apartment. who lived alone.

From the preliminary investigations, it is suspected that the AK citizen, in a state of depression, committed suicide a few days ago by cutting his veins with a knife.

At the scene of the incident, the investigative group found and seized as material evidence the knife with which he is suspected to have committed suicide.


The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Kukas Judicial District Court, continues the investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the event.
