The police have increased checks on the National Road in order to identify violators of traffic rules.

So the driver of an Audi A8 was fined 40,000 new lek after driving at a speed of 205 km/h on the National Road

During the first 2 weeks of July, the services of the Traffic Police Unit for the Safety of the "Milot-Morina" Highway, equipped with modern logistical tools, punished 144 citizens who were driving the respective vehicle, with speeds from 150 km/h to 205 km/h, of which:

-135 Kosovar citizens were punished with an administrative measure twice the administrative measure provided for by the Highway Code;

- 9 Albanian citizens had their driving license suspended for a period of 3 to 12 months, and 5 to 8 points were deducted from their respective driving license.

Also, during this period, 70 vehicles were declared "Alert", as they were traveling at a speed exceeding the permitted norms, in the Kalimashi tunnel.

On weekends, there are radars on every axis.
