The Albanian was arrested for smuggling weapons from Serbia to Hungary

An Albanian citizen was arrested by the police in Hungary, as he tried to cross the border with a large amount of weapons and ammunition.

A spokesperson from the Budapest prosecutor's office said that the Albanian, whose identity has not been disclosed, was driving a "Mitsubishi" type car from Serbia in the direction of Hungary.

9 automatic weapons, 3 pistols and 2,700 cartridges were found inside the car.

He is currently in custody pending charges of arms trafficking.
